    Name: dyzgoneby
    Location: California, United States

I am married to a wonderful Marine and a mother of 5 darling children. Sniper has been home from his second tour in the Shitbox since July 2006. This will be my rants, raves and rumblings with my life with him as a Marine Wife, him dealing with life post Iraq and the Marine Corps next adventure for us. At times I may whine, I may cry and there maybe times I just don't make any sense and you think WTF. These are my feelings and my feelings alone. If you don't like what I have to say, click the "X" in the right corner and move on. Thank a vet for having that choice. If not, sit back and enjoy the peak into my crazy world.

    Too All Our Hero's

    I thank you all!

    A Tribute

I hope that my achievements in life shall be these - that I will have fought for what was right and fair, that I will have risked for that which mattered, and that I will have given help to those who were in need that I will have left the earth a better place for what I've done and who I've been. -C. Hoppe

A Little bit about "My Life"

I have been reading several milblogs (and others) over the last few weeks. I stumbled across several really well put together blogs (BlackFive, American Soldier, Michael Yon & Jack Army) and became hooked (line & sinker). I am trying to learn a lot about the military life I am getting ready to enter. No, I am not joining (no one will take me, medical reasons, or I would). My wonderful boyfriend is a Marine and in it for the Career. He is leaving in a few short months going back to Iraq for OIF III. I learned in one very quick moment whatever you say to one Marine you say to them all, they stick together like glue. Don't ever call a Marine a Chicken Sh*t. I was thrown in the pool fully dressed. However, it took 3 Marines and lots of bruises for me to go in and I am petite woman.

I am a single (for now) mother of 2 wonderful children whom drive this mom crazy. They are your typical siblings who fight all the time. My daughter, "Drama Queen" is 9 going on 16 and my son, "Lego Man" is 11 and still holding on to his youth.

The other day Drama Queen was out back dancing on the back deck and wanted me to dance with her. After I did, she looked at me and said' "Mom stop. Your scaring me." I asked her what she meant and she told me, "Mom's aren't supposed to dance like that." Huh? She then went on to say mom's aren't supposed to know how to dance. I let her know this mom can dance and used to dance in high school and college and I was good and can still can dance. I was in such a funk over the last couple of years I forgot how to have fun and enjoy life (and my children). I realized each day is precious and I need to enjoy it as if it "was my last day."

As for what I want to blog about, I'm not sure. Life in general in this crazy world we live in and my day to day life and wisdom.

Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they made a difference. The Marines do not have that problem. President Ronald Reagan
